Case Studies
Home Office
The Home Office Stakeholder Strategy Unit wanted to improve relationships with its 6,000 partners and be seen as leading the way across Government on relationship management. We were asked to support internal cultural change, work with their teams to ensure effective stakeholder management, assist in the development of “quarterly stakeholder feedback surveys” and related targets. We also supported them in mapping their most important partners and produced “partner profiles” including on going analysis of stakeholder issues.
We first developed a tracking research programme to help the team understand the drivers of satisfaction for national and regional stakeholders. Having identified key areas for development we were then able to negotiate and set improvement targets over three years across the Home Office group. We used the insights we gained to help shape their strategy and develop a focused deployment plan. Part of the plan has been to clearly define the level of engagement required for different stakeholder groups and help stakeholder managers around the business understand what improvement areas they need to focus on.
"Verdant Marketing were instrumental in helping the Home Office to put in place the processes and systems – and the corporate culture- it needed to work with its partners in order to improve delivery and enhance reputation. The latest results from this work (November 2007) show that our relationships with our partners are indeed improving compared with a year ago".
